I've been using Outlook 2016 for a while now with no issues. The February 2016 update became available recently and I applied the update this morning (version 16.0.6568.205 - it adds the black theme availability). Since updating to this version my cursor appears to jump backwards frequently as I'm typing in an email composition window. Showing formulas in the cells makes it easy to find cells that contain formulas, check for errors, or print with formulas displayed. With a quick key combination you can see formulas instead of formula results in a worksheet. Showing all formulas in all cells. I'm using Excel version 16.17 on by MacBook Pro running macOS Mojave and when I hover over comments they no longer appear. The problem just started in the past two weeks. I now have to manually show and hide comments, which defeats the purpose. I checked for updates and version 16.17 is the latest. To be clear, my cursor doesn't actually jump backwards - I can continue typing normally and the characters go where they should however the display of the cursor has it jump backwards a character or two at times and then return to normal. This has been reported on at least two other systems since the upgrade to this latest version. The issue does not seem to happen in Word. Has anyone else noticed/experienced this? I found one post suggesting disabling Use Smart Cursoring and Use subpixel positioning to smooth fonts on screen. These changes did not make a difference for me. I recently updated to 2016, in the past week, because 2013 kept saying I didn't have a license, even though the device was in my devices list and after attempting to repair and reassign the device. Since installing 2016, I've been experiencing the exact same issue. The cursor randomly jumps back or is latent to move with text as I type. Additionally it will not always show that I have spaced at the end of a sentence, so it's hard to tell if words are going to string together. I've seriously contemplating using webmail because the stutter stepping of the cursor is causing issues while I'm trying to type emails. This issue only exists in Outlook 2016 as far as I've seen. In Excel, if you want to insert a pop-up picture, you need the aid of a comment. Select a cell that you want to place the image at, and then right click to select Insert Comment from the context menu. See screenshot: 2.
